DESCRIPTION:This practical\, hands-on 3.5-hour classroom session provides opportunities to practice key violence prevention strategies and builds on the skills learned in the Violence Prevention – PVPC for Physicians eLearning course. This course is strongly recommended for medical staff working in high-risk departments (i.e.\, Emergency\, Mental Health & Substance Use\, Long Term Care\, Acute Care for the Elderly\, Neurology) \nParticipants who enroll and attend the facilitated classroom sessions will apply that knowledge through activities to further reinforce and practice what they need to do to prevent and protect against workplace violence. \nPlease note: If you have completed the PVPC seven e-learning modules for health care staff\, this is considered equivalent to the pre-requisites outlined for this course. \nRegister here.
