Thank you to everyone who supported the recent SMH & JP QI Brag Day! The event featured 50 posters showcasing quality improvement projects from across the organization and saw strong support from senior leadership, including CEO Dermot Kelly.
QI Brag Day provides an opportunity to share learnings, celebrate successes, and support ongoing improvement efforts across our hospital sites. It also offers a moment to pause and reflect on our work—asking how we can continue to make care safer, smoother, and more compassionate for patients.
The projects on display highlighted the curiosity, teamwork, and persistence of staff. Many projects began with simple observations in day-to-day work and evolved into meaningful improvements through collaboration and ongoing learning. In a complex system like a hospital, progress is rarely driven by one large solution, but rather by many small, thoughtful changes led by those closest to the work.
