UBC Division of Palliative Care CME Day 2022

October 28, 2022 @ 8:00 am - 5:30 pm

The UBC Division of Palliative Care invites you to this year’s virtual CME Day, “Back to the Future: Essentials of Modern Palliative Medicine”, aiming to enhance your practice when caring for patients with palliative care needs. We have a multidisciplinary lineup of speakers presenting a wide range of topics, from evidence-based opioid conversions to the delivery of palliative care to First Nations communities in BC.

The keynote speaker is Dr. Mary Lynn McPherson, Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science at the University of Maryland and author of “Demystifying Opioid Conversion Calculations: A Guide for Effective Dosing”. Our topics have been curated to cater to physicians and allied health professionals of all backgrounds interested in the palliative approach to care. Join us for a thought-provoking and engaging virtual event where we will dive deep into modern essentials and uncover how we can better support our patients, our teams and ourselves.

Conference recording

Can’t join us live on Oct 28? All lectures will be recorded and available to watch on demand for up to 3 months after the event.
