Meet the New President of Doctors of BC 2022
Doctors of BC President, Dr Ramneek Dosanjh, is pleased to share with members her thoughts and goals for her one-year term which began on January 1, 2022. In a short video, she shares her views on the state of the profession and her priorities as president. She recognizes the tremendous strain on physicians after two years of the pandemic and discusses how Doctors of BC is supporting and advocating for members. Dr Dosanjh also speaks of her own commitment and passion to address social determinants of health, particularly adverse childhood experiences and their impact on the health of adults.
Dr Dosanjh also outlines the focus of the Board for 2022, which will include:
- A successful negotiation of the PMA that addresses issues important to doctors, such as making virtual care a permanent option for doctors alongside in-person care, and finding solutions to the rising costs of running a business, among other issues.
- Developing a post-pandemic recovery plan with resources to support doctors in their practices.
- Building stronger relationships with doctors and our sections and societies.
- Furthering the work being done on equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Dr Dosanjh’s door is always open and she would love to hear from you about anything that is on your mind. To read the full article and to contact Dr Dosanjh, please visit the Doctors of BC website here: Doctors of BC
