Order Form for National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
September 30, 2022 marks the second annual National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The day is intended to honour the lost children and Survivors of residential schools, their families and communities. September 30th is particularly significant as is coincides with Orange Shirt Day, an Indigenous-led grassroots commemorative day that honours the children who survived residential schools and remembers those who did not.
On September 30, we encourage the Fraser Health family to wear orange to raise awareness of the tragic legacy of residential schools, honour the thousands of Survivors, and demonstrate our ongoing commitment to Truth and Reconciliation.
To support staff, the Aboriginal Health Program will be purchasing orange shirts, lanyards and pins on behalf of the health authority. Attached to this e-mail, you will find an order form for:
- Orange Shirts
- Orange “Every Child Matters” Fraser Health lanyards
- Orange “Every Child Matters” buttons
To order these items for your program, please complete the attached order form and submit to culturalsafety@fraserhealth.ca by August 18th, 2022 at 4:30 pm.
The costs for these items will be absorbed by the Aboriginal Health program, so no cost centre is required. The Aboriginal Health Program will ensure all orders are shipped to the address provided ahead of September 30th.
For any questions, please contact Noelle Saemerow, Program Coordinator – Indigenous Health at Noelle.Saemerow@fraserhealth.ca.
